Experience the magical land of mountain gorillas with a day on the leisure island of Lake Bunyonyi with in only 4 days. The 4 day Gorilla and Lake Bunyoni safari allow you to meet mountain gorillas, Batwa and also chill around the beautiful islands in Uganda. At night expect to chill, and relax in leisure as you share a drink with friends infront of the camp fire as you listen to the night sounds of the forest jungle around us.
Day 1: Kampala-Bwindi Forest National Park
Leave Kampala early by 6:00am to Bwindi forest with a scenic drive through beautiful landscape, plantations arriving at the park in the evening. We stop for lunch in Mbarara at igongo cultural museum before driving to the land of mountain gorillas. Meals and overnight stay at at Buhoma community bandas, Gorilla friendly campsite, Nshongi gorilla camp, broadbill campsite, Haven lodge, gorilla mist camp, Trekkers Tervan, Mahogany springs, Bakiga lodge, Sanctuary forest Camp.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park
Wake ready to meet the silverback gorilla and look into its dazzling eyes as you watch other gorilla habituated family members play and enjoy their life in the wild. The trek takes between 2-8 hours though some tourists see gorillas twice on a single trek. First during the main trek and second when chilling at their lodge of residence that is if you too lucky. A lot of other tour activities are available for those with free afternoons so no bored while in Bwindi forest. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge of residence.
Day 3: Bwindi Forest- Lake Bunyonyi
Have breakfast and leave Bwindi forest to Lake Bunyonyi Island that offers classic impressive views that are rare to find. Arrive in the time for lunch and later explore the island with a boat trip that will enable you explore several islands. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Eco resort, Byoona Amagara Island Retreat, Bunyonyi Resort, Birds nest.
Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi -Kampala
Enjoy leisure breakfast, before driving back to Kampala arriving in the afternoon with a drop off at your agreed point or airport for your departure flight.
